“Old English” (often called Old English Text or Old English Blackletter) is a classic blackletter (Gothic) style typeface that imitates the look of medieval European manuscript lettering.
Despite the name, Old English font is not the same as the Old English language (the language of Beowulf). It’s a decorative type style inspired by the heavy, ornate handwriting used in Europe from roughly the 12th–15th centuries.
This is a tribute - for sure.
